Though there are opportunities pouring in for Sai Pallavi to act in Tamil & Telugu movies, she is more focused in showing interest in Malayalam films. Sai Pallavi’s “Athiran” film has recently released and is running successfully. In this movie, she has acted with Fahadh Faasil. The movie “Athiran” also has actors Prakashraj, Renji Panicker, Atul Kulkarni, Shanthi Krishna and other actors. Vivek has directed the movie and music is composed by Ghibraan.
The story line of Athiran goes this way – Kalari fighter Sai Pallavi is admitted to a hospital and she is meeting with an unfortunate incident there. The hospital where Sai Pallavi is admitted has many secrets behind it. The rest of the story goes in finding out the secrets and truth behind it with the efforts of her lover Fahadh Faasil.
Sai Pallavi has well played the role of kalari fighter very efficiently and in a realistic way. This is because she has learned kalari fight systematically and was well trained to appear in the movie during kalari sequences. Sai Pallavi’s video of her kalari training has been released now by the production company.
While Sai Pallavi spoke about her kalari training experience she says, “I have learned kalari for the character given to me and wanted to appear more realistically in the role I was performing. I didn’t want to cheat fans just by pretending with stick and later doing some graphics to appear on the screen. So, I have learned kalari systematically.”
